ACCOMMODATIONS AND LAYOUT

The vessel is arranged with entry doors aft of the bow (port and starboard) and off the stern. The main deck is arranged with booth type seating along port and starboard and the centerline. A beverage bar/snack area is aft on port while four heads are located aft. Passengers have access to exterior seating along port and starboard. A passenger salon and exterior seating with the pilothouse is located on the 01 deck.

  • 2021
    • New sullage tanks created and welded in lazarette, coated with epoxy paint as an isolator both port and starboard.  New inspection gasket on both tanks
    • Crop and renew port lazarette hull plate 12” up on each side of all.  All plate renewed except strut plate
    • New hydraulic valve manifold pipe and valve
    • New exhaust blankets port and starboard lazarette
    • New exhaust bellow port and starboard lazarette – new bolts and washers
  • 2022
    • Replace the through hull wet exhaust for both generators
    • Replace the bilge sea chest valve port side
    • Clad welding performed on large pit on strut place
    • Port rudder dropped new times Marine bearings and seals
    • Reconditioned stalk and new lip seal with spare lip seal mounted on stalk as backup
  • 2023
    • Straighten starboard shaft with new Cutlass bearing on through hull and strut.  New dripless seal/rings.  Replaced the nuts and cotters pins on starboard
    • Replace the helm steering pump
  • 2024
    • Rebuilt gear port side – Key West Engine
    • Align on both mains, deemed all mounts good from wear datum
    • Replace tortional couplings and dog bones
    • Engine to gear and gear to shaft aligned and shimmed as needed – datum
    • Replaced three control heads
    • Replaced processor on port gear.
    • Replaced Twin Disc display on port side
    • Replace stair treads on port and starboard stirs
    • Crop and renew #2 void starboard side 12 x 12
  • 2025
    • Two new NAAID electric actuators with new stainless steel push rod, both trim tables dropped/2 new thru hull bushings with new seals/all new bushings/bearings on both sides – all new nut – torqued to spec and reinstalled.
    • Replaced bilge manifold welded up by Gladding Hear – All new check valves and ball valves installed
    • Replaced Cooney schedule 40 pipe on bilge pick up lines to manifold both engine rooms through bulkhead fitting with fire rated approved sealant.
    • Starboard thru hull discharge (bilge overboard) fitting crop and renew
    • Replace Wilbur Curtis 12-D two pot coffee machine

REMARKS

The YANKEE FREEDOM III is in very good condition. Seller will be responsible for the cost of the USCG dry dock exam credit and refit of the fire suppression system. The ferry offers a sleek style and wonderful viewing for passengers.
