
Accommodations & Layout
The Vessel’s main deck is arranged with cargo doors forward of amidships port and starboard. The heads are forward with the beverage bar aft of amishships along the centerline. A staircase accessing the main and 01 decks is situated between the bar and heads. The 01 deck provides an enclosed cabin forward with open deck space with benches forward & aft. The wheelhouse is located on the 02 deck along with open air bench seating for passengers.

The M/V ROYAL STAR is in fair condition. Repairs for her next USCG dry dock
- Port side aft port hole side shell penetration
- Side shell penetration under port hole by port engine room door
- Port Lazarette and engine room gunnel (side shell, inside of rub rail). Determine extent of wastage at side shell in way of port aft rub rail – approximately 8-15 feet length of wasted material.
- Port aft main deck pitting/holes/deterioration noted in port lazarette, aft engine port room bulkhead side frame, and passenger cabin life jacket box deck (immediately over engine room).
- Rusted through bit on foc’sle
- Port & Starboard overhead lip and door frame rusted through for weathertight doors
- Missing gasket material on weathertight doors 01 deck forward
- Engine room vent closures need method of sealing
- Remove carpet from main deck stanchions to decrease potential fire load
